Branching out beyond Yorktown!

Club News
The Garden Club of Yorktown hosted its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 9th, a favorite spring tradition for local gardeners. Shoppers selected from hundreds of annuals — from Angelonia to Zinnias — along with curated container collections, hanging baskets, specialty vines, and striking dahlias.
The sale also featured dozens of perennials and native plants suited to a range of growing conditions, including Agastache and Monarda for sunny beds, Rudbeckia for mixed light, and Helleborus for shade. Experienced gardeners were on hand to offer guidance.
Proceeds from the sale support the Garden Club’s ongoing beautification projects throughout the Yorktown community.
A Century in Bloom: Centennial High Tea
On April 22, members gathered to celebrate 100 years of horticultural passion and community at an elegant high tea at nearby Lasdon Park. Tables adorned with floral arrangements set the backdrop for an afternoon of tiered trays filled with delicate finger sandwiches, scones with jam, and pastries. Guests sipped tea while sharing memories, honoring founding members, and toasting to the next century of growth, beauty, and friendship.
